Wow, what a depressing topic. Hopefully it won't happen to any of us here.

Both the US and European Canon web site has the teaser flash video. And that must mean the new camera is coming. It is about time for the 5D replacement. It is going to be an exciting release with all the features of 50D in a full frame camera.

I suspect Canon is trying to make its G-series less powerful especially in terms of lens and sensor quality. At the same time put a lot of features in the little machine. The purpose of the G-series is to let pro-sumer market "test-drive" the advanced camera features. If they like it, then Canon can make big bucks from its EOS D-SLR line.
