Google wil be VERY carefully watching whats happening between MS, Apple and Linux. It has already started with Android, so its only amatter of software adaptation. Oh and a fifth OS will come out soon: Nokia!

It's too late in the game, too exotic with its huge CGI Alien worlds, wants to be Sci-fi and love story. Performing well is a matter of definition, of course, does this mean: no bomb at the box office? just a break even, or little better or a huge Darknknight / titanic hit? That I doubt. By the time it comes out, there will have been enough othr 3D movies.
