It appears local search is beginning to be favored in SERPS, business and hyper local directories are constantly ranking in top 10. This algorithm preference appears to be creating a bias in SEO short and long term link building optimization.

The initial prediction is positive based on original baseline of churn when posted, while I did not want to predict such it is obviously trending. There are not enough jobs being created against those being lost, Connecticut is prime example from CT Department of Labors monthly reports.

I see a gap in unemployment and jobs available, specifically the type of jobs available for the same level of experience or similar skills. Employers are in a great position given the overwhelming amount of applicants they receive. Many over-qualified unemployed individuals are so desperate for work they are willing to settle for a lower income at a lower level job, I am one of them. After 10 months of unemployment I finally was lucky enough to land a position, edging out hundreds of other applicants because of my qualifications and expertise yet for only a 15% increase in the offer. The company is very happy with their decision and added value of such an employee. This trend is not likely to change in the next few years, creating a gap in the middle, especially where high paid manufacturing jobs are now being sent overseas for a lower rate pay. The amount of jobs posted has been reported to be climbing, yet I find this information lacking in correlating re-posted positions and actual new jobs. The churn rate is high and with the staggering amount of people unemployed, expect the ratio of jobs available vs unemployed to change. More specifically, I believe the market will be more aggressive and volatile as companies begin to regain their financial footing.
